When Ivory Birdsong wandered out of the Ozarks at the age of seven, she only knew two things: her name and that she loved birds. Growing up, she continued her love of birds by studying ornithology and searching for the elusive and possibly extinct ivory-billed woodpecker. During a field study Ivory finds herself in a fairy tale world, that not only provides answers to the mysterious ivory-billed woodpeckers, but to her mysterious past.
